Aidan Lucid, having been born with Moebius Syndrome and overcoming his disability, first began writing this series back in October 2004. What started out as a short story, transformed into a 220 paged novel. The short story originally featured King Argoth and some of the Zargothian cast. Karina, who was first intended to be a wizard named Marinus, cast a rather peculiar spell on death. Having angered the Grim Reaper, it set out to take revenge on Karina and all the people in Argoth’s kingdom. Feeling that this story was a little silly, Lucid cast it aside. In April 2005, an image of the series’ protagonist, Henry Simmons, in his golden suit of armour, holding a sword, popped into Aidan’s mind. It lingered there for a few days and knowing that there was something special about Henry, Mr Lucid sat down plotting out each chapter in book one, which was first titled, The Boy With the Golden Coin.
